Doc gets called out for saying covid is something that one should have been concerned about. deflave and others call him all sorts of names and say that covid isn't/wasn't anything more than a cold. Doc points out that one of the members here died of covid and he could have been influenced to not get timely treatment by those saying it's nothing worse than a cold.

Then Doc is called out for using the member to make a point.

I expect that's part of it... but the medical econ papers I've read state pretty clearly that more than 80 cents of every health care dollar goes to administration and regulation. The actual dollars paid to the people who actually care for patients is less than 10% of the total.

When I went up to what we called “COVID Row” (the ICU reserved for these patients) every bed was occupied by a fat person. I’m talking morbid obesity, for the most part.
