Any profession where my wellbeing is in the hands of another requires skill and qualifications. Don't care about race, gender, or anything else. Hiring on skill should be the first priority or you won't have me as a customer.
Emergency personnel are in the same category. If you can't drag out an average sized person, I don't want you showing on the force....period.
For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat."

I think you meant to say "This will end in the gravity well? " I've flown several times with a female Alaska Air pilot , no worries. But I'm certain that she is qualified, not quota -fied. I hope that doesn't change in the future for Alaska Air. I won't fly United if I can at all avoid it. Lousy airline. The last time I did, in a month's time they changed my flight times 5 or 6 times until I could no longer make the connecting flight. FUGEM.

I have news for you, the Armed Forces have been doing this with africans and females since the 90s....

I have news for you, the Armed Forces have been doing this with africans and females since the 90s.... I seem to remember the nighttime carrier landings became quite costly, in more ways than one. The first time the students go to the boat is in the T-45 and is daytime with a steady deck and a lot of what they have to overcome is between the ears. Fairly quickly day carrier landings become pretty routine unless you have a problem or the deck is moving a lot but ……..the night carrier landings separate the men from the boys. That is the big deal breaker for them to go to a fleet squadron. Night quals, especially if there’s little or no moon are in a completely ballgame. Even as a fleet aviator it usually took me a couple of hours to settle down enough to go to sleep. As I mentioned earlier, even though nowadays there are more females and a few more minorities in flight training, the numbers are not such that they could supply half the pilot force for a major airline. Regional airlines, etc would have to make up for the remainder. I just don’t think 50% is attainable, maybe 25-30%.

I think you're not giving the PedoBiden administration enough credit for potential 'creativity' in filling the cockpits with unqualified US Post Office flunkies. Trayvon Martin got a Bachelor's Degree in Aviation five years after he was dead, just think what they will do with the living: https://www.wfla.com/news/trayvon-martin-awarded-posthumous-degree-in-aviation/Posted: May 4, 2017MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (WFLA) – Trayvon Martin, the Sanford teenager who was fatally shot by George Zimmerman in 2012, will be awarded a posthumous Bachelor’s degree in aviation. Florida Memorial University (FMU), a historically black institution, announced on Facebook Thursday that Martin’s parents, Sybrina Fulton, a FMU alumna, and Tracy Martin will accept the degree on their late son’s behalf. The school plans to honor his lifelong dream of becoming a pilot with a posthumous degree in Aeronautical Science with a concentration in Flight Education.“As we approach 50 years in Miami Gardens, this commencement holds a special place in all of our hearts. This academic year is symbolic of the transformative changes that we continue to make to our academic programs that extend to benefit the community,” said Dr. Roslyn Clark Artis, president of Florida Memorial University. Five years ago, Martin’s life was cut short when he was gunned down by neighborhood watchman, George Zimmerman, who was acquitted of charges of second-degree murder and manslaughter. The verdict prompted worldwide outrage and helped lead a social-justice movement of which his parents, Fulton and Martin have become prominent figures. “Of special significance is awarding posthumously the Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation to Trayvon Martin. Sybrina, our alum, epitomizes strength and dignity as she uplifts other victims of violence while effecting change for a more equal and just society.”
