Not to mention that while we've spent the last 20 some odd years fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan... Russia and China have spent most of their defense dollars on missile technology, and are some 5 years ahead of us on hypersonic missile technology.

JMHO- it wouldn't necessarily have to be delivered
via missile. There's beaucoup insane zipperheads
that would be chomping at the bits to deliver a
backpack nuke in a suicide attack.
As loose as the borders have been, the operatives
for that may have been here for a long time, as
well as the needed ordinance.
Not to mention all the pinheads that hate America
and would love to see it happen that would gladly
enable such a mission

If the Russian nuclear arsenal is in the same shape as their conventional forces...i wouldn't want to be in ole Vlad's shoes.
If we start trading city killers...we all loose...but the Russians will loose a lot more.
The one thing that nobody on this forum...or youtube...or tiktok...or at a McDonalds breakfast meeting at 6 am with the other retired boomers knows...is about anyone atomic offensive/defensive technology.

It's where they've been spending their money for decades ^^^^^^^^^^^^THIS^^^^^^^^^^^^ Russia has been upgrading and improving their SLBM and ICBM delivery systems for the past 3 decades. They are considerably more modern that what the U.S. possesses, culminating in the SS-18 Satan replacement with the RS-28 Sarmat, the largest & longest range ICBM ever built. We currently deploy modernized versions of the 30 year old Trident 2 SLBM and 50 year old Minuteman III ICBM. Our most modern ICBM, the 10 warhead MX Peacekeeper was deactivated in the past 2 decades.
