Does anyone have any experience with it&d gunsmiths out of ohio? I am considering rebarreling a rifle and there prices seem very good but I want to make sure that they do quality work. If you have a gun that they worked on how does it shoots accuracy wise. Pm me if you dont want to talk bad about a company in public. Post pic of your rifle and barrel finish if you have any.
Thanks

While the search function here sucks, this comes up semi-often, and was just on here in the last couple weeks again.
With that said, yes, Dave does fine work, and his prices can't be beat.
You'll be happy with it if you choose to send your work there.

I have never used them but I can tell you that their name comes up very often here with only positive things to say... as I recall well priced and a reasonable turn around time.

I have used them several times. They have done good work for me and the price and speed is excellent.
If I had to pick nits, dave wasn't set up to cut a custom throat on one rifle for me.
He uses pretty much Douglas tubes, but despite many who won't name Douglas as a top line maker, every one dave has done for me has outshot my reasonable expectations.
If I were building a BR or dedicated long range target gun I might choose something else (like a custom throated cut rifle tube), but in hunting gun ITD is a gem.

IDAHO did you say? I might see if he would do the rechamber of my 7mmRemMag to 7mm Mashburn or 7mm/300WinMag on an appointment/while I wait basis? I could take it in person and not risk loss or damage to a spectacular (in my view) rifle.
Anyone here have his contact info handy?

I believe they are in Ohio...not Idaho. That is correct.

I've used ITD for several builds with Douglas barrels. All have been good shooters. As steelhead wrote, Dave will use whatever barrel you want.

Used them for a rebarrel this past summer. Very fast, maybe 2 1/2 week turnaround. Rifle shoots great and the work turned out good looking.
