I went to do it shortly after I got married. Worked all day building houses, but still broke. The folks in there looked a little rough. The electricity went out before my turn came up. I split

Most of the plasma centers are likely still staffed ghetto heifers posing as nurses.

Ya gonna catch the sickle cell playing with needles in those joints.

In 1972 I had an accident while topping a tree. The state patrol was hauling blood from hospital to hospital for me on the operating table. I got out of the hospital in 9 days and then got sicker and sicker for a year.

The blood may keep you alive, but it is not always the best blood.

Oh boy. Sounds like you may have gotten some of that NAPA blood… Did your 40 yard dash time, vertical leap and liking for collard greens increase?

😀

I’m glad that you eventually made a full recovery.

Yeah
That was only FIFTY years ago.

I was totally toxic with potassium overload and anemia, had to be dragged up into a wheelchair…so weak and paralytic got 2 units of some wino’s blood and within 48 hours walked out of the hospital in March

If they knew what my blood looked like these days, they'd show in HAZMAT suits.

I don't think I could give it away.

I could come up with a surplus of platelets, however. Unless I take these pills to kill 'em down, I've got enough for three people.

$100 top prize maybe. Can't remember what he told me.

No way!
Don't mind needles, just not interested in the time, the people,
The waiting. Plus, it's just nasty.
I'd go to the hospital and give it away to help someone who was
in a bad situation.

This guy, you would never, ever, expect it from him.
Squared away, straight shooter. Debt and the desire to be free of it
are what keep him going. Hell of it is, he could grab a couple 4 hour shifts
at a number of crappy places on the way home from his job.
Make more money in little more time and waste no gas.

Slumlord: NEXT you will asking who all here sells their ejaculate!
I have given blood three times and fainted each time - I don't know why?
I don't mind the sight of blood and don't fear needles in the least?
Probably should talk to a Doctor about my tendency - naw.

Had a friend who was selling it to buy a new camper. How often and how much she was paid I don’t know but she did get a new camper a few years later. I donate my blood but think there should be some form of compensation to get more people to donate. Not sure what that should be. My 2 cents.

She was selling more than plasma if she paid cash for a new camper.
