Been lots of corn and rice put into the ground the last several days here in East Arkansas. Been too wet and things are way late. I have nothing planted in my garden for the same reason. I have worked the ground but it is still not right to plant anything. Another couple of days. The last few days have been summer weather. 98f yesterday and 97f the 2 previous days. I am no acclimated to it as of yet. 4 days ago water was standing in my yard. miles
Look out for number 1, don't step in number 2.

My brother-in-law lived across the 4-lane from a man who worked evening shift in the coal mines. He said many evenings the guy would come in and you’d see him working his garden with his light on in his miner clothes and helmet.
You do what you have to do Wabi. That’s a mans burden, always thinking of others instead of yourself. Honest days work.

When I first started farming, I had one tractor that I did all my working ground and planting with. I did a lot of work at night and put extra lights on the tractor so I could see to plant at night. That tractor did not have a cab, and the bugs were drawn to the lights, and there were times that it was pain in the butt dealing with the bugs, and I'd have to quit.
