Nope. The edges are too sharp and the throat is too narrow and shallow for hanging IV bags. Those slots @ the end of the “fingers” on top are slotted for chain. I’m still gonna go with an iv holder. That stand isn’t made to hold much. There could be a whole bunch of hooks or hangers that fit it for various things.

I’ve never seen a iv pole that looked like that in my career. I’ve never seen one that was not stainless either due to infection control issues.
Though the form is similar for sure

You’re from Wyoming…..it should be obvious!
It’s a wind gauge! You attach a section of chain to each hook……the faster it revolves gives the wind velocity. It appears to be designed for 3/8” chain……I think the standard length of chain is 3’! 😂 memtb

May Pole - adjustable for different ages/heights of dancers.
Not a real member - just an ordinary guy who appreciates being able to hang around and say something once in awhile.

My cousin who is a retired nurse also guessed an IV bag holder, but we also noted it just didn't have that "clinical" look to it. It has a matte brown crinkled finish on it. But I'm sure it is quite old and maybe it was "clinical" 60 years ago.
Although it is located in Wisconsin, to use as a Wyoming wind gauge the base would have to be anchored into several cubic yards of concrete.

Though the form is similar for sure You should take a trip down into the dungeon of about any hospital in America where all the old equipment is stored. I've seen poles with that exact hook style and a good many that are not stainless. I've also seen poles like that still in use.

It would be useful in a garden store for displaying hanging plant baskets.

Though the form is similar for sure It looks to be way too heavy for an IV hanger. They are normally pretty light. Although the hanger design is similar to an IV pole.

Has the look of a retail store fixture.
"Maybe we're all happy."
"Go to the sporting goods store. From the files, obtain form 4473. These will contain descriptions of weapons and lists of private ownership."

The wheels give it away. It's obviously not meant for heavy or bulky objects and definitely is meant to be easily mobile. An IV hanger is the mist logical answer.

Used to be administrative supervisor for the whole hospital. You better know where everything is and what it’s for in that job

It is for holding enough pails of porch and deck stain to redo the deck. Lets get on it.
Seriously, I would guess some type of store fixture.
