On June 5, the Canadian men’s national soccer team will play its first match on Canadian soil since qualifying for the 2022 World Cup. The team is set to host #21-ranked Iran in an international friendly at BC Place.
Although it’s already proving to be a hot ticket, some, including the prime minister, believe organizers should have chosen a different opponent.
“This was a choice by Sport Canada, by Soccer Canada,” said Justin Trudeau Tuesday during a media scrum. “It wasn’t a very good idea to invite the Iranian soccer team here to Canada.”

Sports Canada changes its mind. Due to the political situation, the match is cancelled. They are a sports body. Ethics in Sports would be how I'd handle this. Canada Soccer has cancelled the international match that was scheduled for 5 June 2022 against Iran as part of the Men’s National Team preparations for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. Additional details will be provided to all ticket purchasers.

Football is played with a ball using primarily the foot. Makes sense.
American football is played mostly by holding a ball in your hands and running with it. It is also commonly thrown, and rarest is played with the foot. Running hand carry but sometimes thrown ball is probably a better name for it.
