I have a (USA MADE by vets) heavy duty 30 ft flagpole flying a 4x6 (USA MADE) flag in my front yard at the end of our cul-de-sac. It is the first thing anyone sees when they pull into our street - it is... large.

Six of my seven Cul-De-Sac neighbors also have flags on free standing poles, and off facades, etc.

We ALL follow US flag etiquette (crisply up, reverently down, half-mast when appropriate, illuminated at night, etc) as appropriate.

But there are many official half-mast instances where that represent reverence for things many here despise. Official half-mast instances include remembering COVID deaths. Bob Dole, Albright. Henry Reid, etc, etc.

I suspect those here who actually fly a flag, fly in all weather, no light, full mast, all the time.

Who here follows the rules? Who flies a POW/MIA flag on the required days, and goes half-mast with the Stars and Stripes even it represents some Democrat, and so on?

Here is a useful tool for when to do what, versus just being lazy:

I have no idea what you mean by that comment?

The odd (woman) out in our Cul-De-Sac is a high school teacher and union leader who is a recluse and has nothing to do with our nice little Cul-De-Sac, and abhors every one of us as neighbors, LOL

“ Oh, say! can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming;
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there:

Oh, say! does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?”

Are either of those two the one you referenced in previous posts about being a fighter ace at your golf course?

So clearly the slack-jawed, knuckle dragging non-flag flying chuckleheads are up tonight.

I won't fly the flag in honor of my enemies. So a lot of those days are off my list.

This thread was meant to be a serious discussion for those who truly cherish the Stars and Stripes.

The replies so far are telling.

Mine flys 24-7 and is lit at night.

Hopefully the rockets red glare is in the distant future

You were hoping people didn’t remember what a lying piece of shît you are, and your shamefully draping the flag over you shoulders to hide behind and use as a shield.

Sorry, not sorry. Doesn’t work that way.

So you fly a flag? Sounds so... So do you actually make a *conscious* decision to not fly half mast in those situations? (or is you reply just fun hyperbole, for the sake of the 24HCF?)

Serious question.

My wife and I spend much of our free time volunteering and participating with local non-profits introducing youth here in Colorado to shooting, hunting, tying flies, fishing, etc.

I am intimately involved in local, conservative politics, especially at the youth level. They are our best chance to solve this chit storm.

So..........GFY.

Well, the replies here tell the story.

Not a single response to my question about flag etiquette with substance, except rcamuglia who said his flies full mast, all the time.

At least he said he has a US flag The rest of you just went full retard on your replies and didn't even remotely address the question about flag etiquette

But alwaysotdoors posted a GIF of his wife laughing at his cock, so there is that, I guess.
