Probably a breed misidentification
Let me post a pic of my pit licking an infant
I read a story one time of a lab that bit a kid in a wheelchair
Pits can't lock their jaws
What did I miss? Sweetest dog I ever had was a pit. Chihuahuas bite more people than pits. Ever see a Chihuahua fracture an orbital socket? Me either. Pit bulls and Chihuahuas. My grandmother had a mean ass Chihuahua that lived to be 20 years old. That mean little SOB would still try to gum you to death even when all his teeth were gone. 🤪

Considering all the pits there are, ain’t that many go bad, but if they do it can be a catastrophe, most often visited upon children.
Prob’ly my least favorite breed of dog.

Had a bunch. Have one now. Every last one of them were horrible guard dogs. Not my first time saying it: You get warnings and have a responsibility as a pit owner. The problem is, most owners ignore it.
If yer dog shows hostility….of any kind….towards a human, its gotta go down. Half of my pits never barked at the door, much less growl at a passer by. People will swear their pit was the sweetest dog before it mauled someone. I call BS. That dog charged a fence or showed aggression in stretching the leash towards a stranger at some point. Maybe normal for other breeds. Ain’t normal for pits. Yer pit does that, you’ve been warned.
