I have a hard time moving from Swarovski binoculars, but if the new 8X32 range finding binoculars from Leica are as good as they say, I will do just that.

I have tried every Leica offering and still ended up coming back to Swarovski. I have the new 8X32 NL Pure binoculars right now and they are fantastic. For range finding, I have the new EL Swarovision binoculars with all the ballistic and integrated map technology in them, which I don’t use. This will be interesting to see just how good they are…

There is some good feedback thus far over on the Rokslide forum.
I'm still using my older 10x42 HD-R Geovids and am quite happy with them, I thought about the new little Geovids but I think they have far more onboard info then I want/need as I'm not a LR shooter.
Those NL Pure do impress, I have the 12x42's for tripod work and can't wait to give them a workout this fall.

Hope to give some input "ONCE" my 10x32 Pro's arrive. Ran the HD-B's for about 7 years and absolutely loved them. Transitioned to the 3200.com's last year and even better. Placing my Pro's order in mid February was told they would be shipping April/May; which the are.....just not mine.

I’m on the fence between the new Leica 8x32 Geovids and the Sig Sauer 10K. I know the Leicas and any Swaro’s are much better optically, but the Sigs have a better laser and nicer system.

Class 3 laser vs class 1 laser. I’ll try and dig up a review on the Sigs.

I’ve had a separate Leica RF and swaro 10x 32 binocs for years. Never liked the combo RF/binocs cause of weight, but these Leicas look interesting.

There is no beating Swaro optics.

I think once you get into the upper echelon of Zeiss, Leica, and Swarovski – that gets pretty subjective.

We have these at the shop. They are very sharp but like NLs. You need to be very careful on getting them set to your eyes and it takes a while to get them exactly right and then they are amazing. They have more vignetting than others but once set up they are awesome.

Pick them up in the morning, shoot gophers in the afternoon. I will know shortly, just how good they are.

One way or the other, there is going to be some good optics available on the classifieds real soon…

Whole bunch pf Sig info here. Seems like the normal stuff associated with Chicom made bino/rf's....optics decent, sample variation quite obvious, Sig customer service is "iffy", super fast laser.

Well, they'll save you 2-4oz vs. available 42MM offerings from Leica, Swarovski, and Zeiss. The only thing you're really saving is "footprint", which is certainly nice for some. I can see the 32's smaller footprint being a definite advantage to bow-hunters.

a few years back I switched from Swarovski 10x42 and Leica RF to geovids 10x42 and that combo unit worked great, now that I am retired living back in PA and back into bow hunting I purchased the Geovid 8x32's from the few trips afield this past month they seem great, bright and clear.

I got the binoculars and took them out shooting gophers with my bow. They are bigger/heavier than I expected. The view is easy with glasses. They are clear and bright.

The range finder isn’t instant, it takes a few seconds to turn on. The objective lens covers won’t stay on or in. They are considerably larger than my Swarovski NL pure 8x32 binoculars.

Not really a stellar introduction so far, but I’m going to keep up the field trials until I decide to keep them or go back to Swarovski.

shrapnel, a question on the optics: do these binocular rangefinders have a field flattener?

I can’t say. I have had them out 1 day, am planning on heading out again tomorrow. Field flattening by whatever the definition, hasn’t ever been an aspect of note in my optic perception.

Rolling ball is another term I have got no idea what it is. I use the glass for looking at stuff a long ways off and how clear and sharp an image is, determines their value to me…
