Years ago, I had one of those in 30-30. Traded it away for a Winchester 94 Trapper. Wish I still had the Marlin. Currently have a 336 carbine in 35 Rem with a short barrel and curved butstock. My guess is someone shortened the barrel. But the deer don’t know that.

I was just watching one on Gunbroker, it went for over 2 grand. You got a heck of a deal!! By the looks of it, the seller had no idea what he had, and didn’t market it accordingly.
