Never have. But long ago saw a guy that really believed it was in progress and me and a friend were aliens responsible for his kidnap. Pretty sure the mushrooms had a lot to do with it. Was totally freaked out. Kept telling us it was ok, he wasn’t worried, but wanted to be sure we’d take him back to earth later. Funny thing was he had wanted to be around us doing the schrooms because it would be safe.

Aliens do not give free rides. There is always a price to pay. Is this an "ass, gas or grass" type arrangement?

wabigoon; Good evening my friend, I hope that this last day of May was kind to you all.
Your query and some of the responses reminded me of the closest that I've come to an alien being, so with apologies for my wandering off a wee bit, it went like this as I recall.
I'd moved to BC in the spring of '81 and had been hired on to a framing crew. Back in those days we didn't have suspenders on our nail and tool pouches, they were just belt pouches and always leather.
Since I was new at it and just starting out, I'd picked up one that was made of fairly decent leather but not as decent stitching. One day I decided that I needed to get the pouch sewed back up and buddy noted that there was a shoe maker in a small shop which was just across the street and down the block a wee bit from where we were framing condos. He said he'd not heard anything about the shoemaker and went along with me as he had some work that needed done too, but I can't recall what that was anymore.
The shoemaker was younger than I expected, maybe in his mid '30's I thought, but I've always been horrible at guessing anyone's age.
When I showed him what I needed done, he quoted a fair price and said he'd do it while we waited, so I was impressed to say the least.
In short order the work was completed and as I was paying him I mentioned I was new in town, really liked the valley a lot and asked how long he'd been there?
"Too long", was his reply, then he continued, "Yah my spaceship crashed into Skaha lake 123 years ago and I've been stuck here ever since. I'm really tired of it as you can imagine".
I looked at him, then at buddy, whose eyes were as wide as I've ever seen them. When we both looked back at the shoemaker he was dead serious, so we said something like, "That's rough. Sorry to hear about that..." and left.
Years later we still laughed about how good a shoemaker that alien space being had become. At least he or it was multi talented, I'll give that to it.
Oh, that leather nail pouch is still in good shape where he repaired it too by the way.
That's my story anyways wabigoon, sorry it wasn't more exciting.
All the best and God bless.
Dwayne

RS308MX; Good evening, thanks for the reply and the chuckle tonight. Indeed I hope I've never purported or pretended to be good at much of anything. For sure and certain my age guessing abilities are suspect to less than poor at best. I should say though that's as far off as I've ever been for sure though. All the best. Dwayne

Can't say I was 'taken up' in a flying saucer - More like, 'left behind'?
