I have a personal preference for muted colors for tents, but then again I prefer muted colors for most things I own. I have read that muted and darker colors have greater UV resistance, and of course there are plenty of reasons someone might not want to advertise the location of their camp to others. I appreciate other people having low profile camps that don't stick out like a sore thumb.
On the other hand, having a bright colored tent has advantages - like with the bright blue of the newest Black Diamond Mega Light. A camp that's a little easier to see might be an asset during rifle season, for example.
In the end don't care enough about color for it to make a much of a difference in my shelter selection one way or the other. What about you?

Yes , I like to blend in if possible. Latest backpacking tent and family tent are both green / olive drab.

Of you watch thenTV show “Alone” you see by season 10 there’s few green tents/tarps.
Because it’s depressing.
I have a bunch in gold/yellow. Some in red, a few in gray.

I have both. Not a deal breaker either way, but personally I think an easy to see tent is better in mountain conditions. Makes it less likely that someone will set up camp nearby if they see someone is already set up there. Also easier for myself to find sometimes. I also like reflective material on the tent for coming back to camp in the dark.

Muted for me. In the places I camp while backpacking it's not likely that someone else would set up nearby and miss the fact that I'm there because there's usually only room for one or two tents. And I'd rather not draw attention when I'm gone all day hunting, gear is expensive.

Agree, I could never bring myself to leave my black diamond mega, WM bag, mountain laurel design bag + other odds & ends. The bright'ish blue tent was very noticeable, I knew how mad I'd be if someone stole all of it. I lived in the coastal southeast, thieves abound, they'll steal something if given a 1/10th of a chance. NO bright colors for me.

Have an inexpensive Coleman Sundome 4 Person Tent, Lt. green/white ($40?) when I use one.
If the weather looks bad, will cover the whole thing w/ a 5-mil camo tarp from Harbor Freight, that also improves the vestibule.
Mostly though, it's an OD tarp and WP bivy.
