Can’t understand the mentality of, “I’ll show HER!” Years ago a neighbor of mine’s wife was having an affair with the local dope dealer. The neighbor walked into his house one day, past his wife and daughter in the living room then into the bedroom and stuck a gun in his mouth. I suspect his thought was “I’ll show her, I’ll make her live with my suicide on her conscience”. The wife (widow) had the mess cleaned up then promptly moved the drug dealer boyfriend into the house where he was soon driving the guy’s truck, using his tools, shooting his guns. etc.. The druggie pretty much took his spot like nothing had happened. This house was also across the road from the neighbor’s mother so she got to watch it all. The cheating wife pretty much got everything she wanted. She got rid of him, got everything they owned, and got to play house with her druggie boyfriend. I doubt her conscience bothered her a bit, if she had a conscience she wouldn’t have been cheating on him to begin with.

more so with men than with women? Roughly 80% of suicides in the US are men. That’s roughly 36,000 a year. 720,000 since 2002. So, the title could easily read 77.7% of male suicides since 2002 were from men who HADN’T gotten a divorce. If we would just ban guns, men would not commit suicide.
