Went out into the wildlife refuge yesterday evening. Didn't have enough time to walk the trails, field edges or into the woods, so I didn't get any real close ups. But got to see a few from my truck.






This poor guy had ticks all over his ears.


Also saw a Red Wolf, one of the rarest mammals in North America. This one, like many of the adults, had a tracking collar on.



I wish I had time to get out and do some hiking. It was unseasonably cool yesterday. But the deer fies and boit flies were still out in uber-force and iI didn't have my hiking boots or bug suit with me.
