Tax holiday just a way to have the election go the Dems way. It don't cure the problem.

Combo of both makes a Helluva lot more sense

Supply and demand, increasing supply is the answer.

I totally agree. The idiot that shut down the Keystone is the main reason gas prices are high. He says there is nothing he can do about it though. What a fu cking idiot!!! The gas tax holiday is going to do nothing for prices. Gas prices have nearly doubled since Trump left office. Something should be done about that, but it's not going to happen with these idiots in office now. Trust me on that one..

Yeah....

My work car holds 15gallons on dead empty. I burn a tank a week.

If I’d fill up, 18.4 x15 =$2.76. Big whoop.

Versus $1.97 gal gas. $1.97 x15 = $29.55. Yesterday $4.19 x 15 = 62.85.

$4.19 is cheap dude. Its approaching $6.00 here in many parts of Nevada.. Supreme is over $6...

I've got an uncle who is same age as me who has done scheduling for refineries all across the U.S for 25 years he told me 10 years ago that there is no shortage biggest problem we have is we need more refineries.
What good does it do to increase a bunch of supply without more ways to refine it.
Most shutdowns are around 6-8 weeks i believe.

The Nation’s infrastructure is aging. Nothing lasts forever. That gas tax pays for replacement and improvement of infrastructure.

Fix the supply side. More pipelines, refining, and drilling.

And as much as I hate to say it....
The gas tax is needed for highway funding.

No one likes paying taxes,
and we darned sure know too much is not used properly.
But just cutting taxes without fixing funding issues will lead to
more issues down the road. I

Fixing supply is addressing the issue directly.

After, you address the first issue.

Production of crude and refining.

Get Brandon out of the way of the men who produce!

This.

Plus, lower gas prices means more driving creating greater tax revenues. A "win" for both sides.

This^^^^^

I retired from 25 years doing design work for TXDOT. No I'm not a PE.
All they're doing is creating another crisis by doing that. But Dems think they can borrow and print money their way out of that.
