Looks like some great days, and that first is one chubo bear. Thanks, and keep them coming.

Yeah that first bear looks like an old and cranky fellow, a real 24hr Campfire sort of bear.

I like your pictures especially the Beaver! I trapped quite a few of them some years ago, but you know, I have never seen on walking on on solid ground. Always swimming! I have never seen country like yours---keep the pics coming.

Yes. Rare for us to catch those beavers on shore. Also, here in the lower 48 they're mostly nocturnal so it's a low light situation in the evenings if at all. Cookie spent about 2 weeks chasing a family on a nearby lake. Got dozens of pics but only a couple on the beach just above their lodge.

Those beavers are big, really big. Bigger than the otters, and the otters are big. The beavers walking are kinda funny to watch. They walk with stiff front legs. Their front legs go straight out when they walk with the toes straight up, they don't bend, like a soldier goose stepping. I stacked these photos for motion. It's hard to see but you kind of can in the beginning. They are kind of comical to watch walking.

Good eye, I am going out looking for some traveling beavers.
Just remembered an interesting beaver sighting. My friend and I were out bow hunting along a creek that the beavers had dammed, and we stopped to open a gate and there were two beavers walking away from us going up the road. The one in front stopped and the one following climbed up on top and spent some time there! We started laughing and I said what the hell did we just witness? He said, it looked like the one in front ran out of gas!!
Neither one of us knew when beavers bred!
