There aren't many .257 Roberts available, definately do not advise reboring especially when there are .30-06 shooter grade guns more suitable for rebore projects pretty readily available. Finding a 'smith competent enough to cut a proper crown and install the proper vintage ramp and refinish would be money well spent.
