My Girl and I talked about this several times
She will not bring it up any more.
I told her that when I die just throw me in the trash that I am finished with this body and do not need it anymore.
She gets a bit pissed off when I tell her that for some strange reason.

I tell her do not waist any money on me she can keep it for herself.

Cremated. Got it set up in my trust to have ashes scattered in 3 places.

1. My buddy's ranch in Montana, on Scott's knob. Highest place on the ranch. I named it.....lots of jokes around this...lol

2. On Kodiak Island, Karluk Lake area. Where I killed my brown bear.

3. Hunting ground I'm a member of in Missouri. About 30 miles from home.

I have money set aside to pay for expenses.

Nephew and ranchers son-in-law for Montana.
Stepkids for Kodiak.
Kim and Family for Missouri.

I am of the same opinion. Cheap as possible.

I don't like the idea of being spread on my land. What if it's someone else's land some day?

Why be a pain in the ass when dead too?

Funerals are for the surviving family and friends. If they want to spend some money to help with the grieving process...so be it.

I won't need or require it....I guess they can do what they want.

This whole "I don't want to burden them" is absurd. Maybe they need a funeral to help cope.

My dad had paid for everything for my mom and he went threw Hell with the funeral home.
So He made sure that everything was set when it was his turn.
My sister went threw Hell.
Dad had paid up front for everything and the Funeral home told my sister that she had to pay more right in the middle of his viewing with family and friends walking past him.

Screw all of them money hungry thieves feeding off of grieving people.

My Brother wants to be buried the Indian way on a Res. in Montana up on a rack. My Sister In-law will not let him do it.
He was also very upset at the way these Mortuary's feed off of the Grieving.

Told the wife to cremate me and mix the ashes into a bowl of chili so I can tear that gorgeous ass up one last time.

Like the Blackfeet. On a platform in the trees with my kit for the next world. Preferably among some pines in the Absaroka-Beartooth wilderness.

Cremation, both of us.

Kids will cart us to AK and 'dump' us somewhere along the way...........

That's the plan.......

Or they may not.....

I've told my wife to just have the boys bury me out back, keep her mouth shut...keep the pension and social security flowing into my account (which she has access to) every month. She doesn't think it's funny...accountant, you know, they're funny about that stuff.

Donating to science isn't free here.
Maybe cheaper, but not free.

A mortician picks up the stiff and they get hauled to Baltimore,
They do nothing for free and they dam sure don't put 300 miles on
the meat wagon for fun. A friend hauls them.

Wife has wanted cremated since I've known her. Can't stand the idea
of bring in a box, haunted at the idea of waking, buried. Claustrophobic.

Never liked that, opposed actually.
But have come around to it over time. The funeral business has
become so crooked and overpriced, its not worth the cost.

It only cost a few hundred dollars in 1969 for Mom and I at the hospital
to get me here. Why spend $10k+ to dispose of the used up junk.

Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!

I’ve looked, and people much more bible scholarly than me have looked. Pretty surenthere is nothing in the bible banning cremation. My wife and I are leaning that way. We don’t want the kids to have to worry about visiting or putting flowers on our graves.

My 95 year old mother will get cremation. Had to be at least 20 years ago she read a book that describes what morticians do to prepare folks for burial with all the embalming stuff and what-not. She decided right then on cremation. The ashes can go into her burial plot next to my dad's grave.
