weather.com is the reason I don't think I could live there. Everything else sounds like a pretty good thing to me. Granted, its a dry heat...
It's by far not the most radical bad weather area I've seen.
Radical bad weather doesn't bother me, storms usually blow over in a matter of an hour or so. I've lived in Tornado alley my whole life, seen that devastation up close and personal. Snow and ice doesn't bother me, it melts (around here) in a few days usually.
Its the months on end of mega-hot temps that would kill me. Granted, like I allowed in my post, it is a dry heat, and that certainly does help, where we have mega humidity to go with our high temps. Luckily, our high temps are only for a month or two in the summer, and usually get a reprieve a few days at a time during that period.
