Beautiful bike. I always wanted a Triumph since '69. Keep the rubber side down.

I bought the last new 2020 Harley Davidson Sportster my local dealer had in February 2021. I ride it year round here in Arizona. 45 mpg.

I want to try one with the new RevMax engine. I don't think I would buy one but ride one and I hate asking a dealer to ride something I know I'm not buying.

Nice bike.
Love them one and two lungers, and the simplicity of the bikes.
My Dad raced a BSA Goldstar back in the day and had plenty of stories to tell. Got me thinking more and more about another bike.

Nice bike!

A small fairing or windshield of some sort to block the wind from your torso or helmet would make a big difference.

I love thumpers too, you don’t need a tach you can just listen to that big cylinder.

But IIRC the bike in the photo is a water-cooled, fuel-injected vertical twin, they just disguise it well.

I found a 2013 Heritage Softail for a good price about 2 months ago. The gas mileage isn't great, but still a lot better than my Tundra. It's my first bike and I'm really wishing I hadn't waited so long to finally get one.

Started riding Triumph's back in 68 and I've owned several newer models. Enjoy your new adventure.

Drooled over a brand new Bonneville at a bike shop in Pensacola in ‘68, but it was $1300 and all my brand new E-2 stripes could support was a used Honda 150 for $200. Got to Subic and, with a few gigs on the side, I was soon riding a Kawasaki 500 triple shipped from Atsugi where it was $800 new.

My boys in Missouri ride a lot. Usually each has 4 or 5 bikes around, one always Harleys, the other most anything, although he got an Africa twin a couple of years ago and now seldom rides anything else.

I’ve told my wife, when she thinks I’m ready for a nursing home just buy me a fast bike and take out a big life insurance policy.

That 500T - was it one of their old 2 stroke bikes they used to make?

Nice ride! I've always wanted to ride a Triumph, but haven't gotten a chance so far.

My kids bought bikes and got sick of me riding them so I went out and found my own. Wife wasn't happy since she didn't grow up around them, but she's warming up to it.

My 07 Fatboy gets an honest 50 MPG! If it isn't raining and I'm not pulling a trailer, it has become my standard transportation lately.

My boys are riding an 05 Sportster and an 04 Low Rider.

Greg - you need to do the cam tensioners yet on the Fatboy? I believe 07 was when they switched from the problematic ones but not sure.

Problem with early tensioner shoe wear was rough edges on chain. Burnished chain solved that. Otherwise about 50k miles is a good time to service tensioner springs for TwinCams that do not have the hydraulic tensioner cam plate.

Good practice is to cut oil filter can off and examine guts at engine oil service. I do this on current FLHT and prior '05 FXD I had. Never found any metal or tensioner shoe material in filter though.

My kid’s Low Rider will probably be prone to this issue as well. He only has 10k on it and doesn’t ride it much. We’ll have them checked out once we get some miles on them.
