Rifle is a custom Winchester Model 70 with PacNor #2 contour 24.5” barrel(Installed by CF member “Redneck”).

57gr gives me 2915 fps and consistent accuracy.

57.5gr gives me 2940 fps…Accuracy was still sub-MOA but opened up slightly to 0.9” @ 100yds.

Planning on carry it this season for mulies and elk in Utah’s back country.😁

only if you are going for max velocity and great accuracy.

4831 SC will beat that velocity, at a lower pressure...

you can't get enough 4831SC in an 06 case, to over pressurize it and exceeding SAAMI specs...

just crimp the bullet....or it will expand and push the bullet out of a full case.

No point in having more speed if the accuracy isn’t there.

Accubonds don’t have cannelures so crimping the bullet isn’t possible.

One load I had used Norma MRP with 165gr Ballistic tips CCI250 primer Win case I got 3013 FPS. Very accurate.

Using RL26 with 165gr Ballistic tip 215M primer Win Case 3,280 OAL. 6 shots Average 3008FPS SD was 13.4

RL16 using same 165gr TTBC 215 M primer Win case 3.260 OAL 2981 FPS SD 3.6.

Those were shot in my Weatherby Mark 5 6 Lug 24 inch barrel.

I gave the R16 a try in the 30 06. My results were unimpressive. Group sixe was 2.5 " with most loads

Velocity at max load was 2930 with a 24" barrel

Did you try different seating depths?
