Finally found some 2000MR and was able to order 2 pounds. Also 2 boxes of TSX 300 grain TSX bullets. According to Speer 416 Remington data claims 2000MR with a 350 grain Speer bullet can achieve 2800 FPS. Probable get 3000 with the 300 TSX

2000MR gets a 180 gr partition to 2800 fps from a .308 in a 24" barrel with good accuracy. Wish I could find some more.

It's claimed to be very good in the 9.3 x 62 also. Never tried it as I'm quite satisfied with RL-17 which is a tad slower than 2000MR I believe, according to one chart at least. Bob www.bigbores.ca

Does the increase come with any disadvantages? Throat wear, brass life? I am assuming not.

I am able to push the 350 grain Speer bullet to 2757 FPS with 97 grains in Remington cases lit by Federall 215 primers in a 24" Bartlien 10 twist barrel. With 93 grains behind the 350 TSX I am getting 2715 FPS with the same cases and primers

416 Ruger 400 grain bullet. Highest velocity Nosler and Hornady load data. Easy to get 2400 fps with a 20" barrel.

I also found it very easy to get 2550 fps with 350 TTSX in the 20" 416 Ruger, using 2000-MR.
