We were just up in Rocky Mtn National Park and pulled off at an overlook above timberline. A bunch of people with kids were petting and feeding a cow elk by hand.

The elk seemed to be enjoying it but she had two of this year's calves right behind her.

Sounds like a prostitute to me. I think that most all of the "show girls" in Vegas are screwing for jewelry, furs, and expensive vacations. A bunch of prostitutes.

I love the way the article says they don't know what killed her. Might have had a heart attack, and the bears just ate the remains.

Treadwell's idiocy caused their demise

Bear spray and a whistle would sure make me feel safe.

Treadwell brought that on himself. Said he was "protecting" the bears, in a National Park part of the area where there was no hunting, and, from what I've read, apparently no record of poaching. In his defense, though, interviews and his own recordings suggest to me that he was genuinely mentally ill.

I wonder if that audio of Treadwell getting et is legit. I think the woman who owns the camcorder with the audio on it has said the audio has never been released. The voices sound "indoor". None the less, it's disturbing. I undertstand that they found Treadwell's head with some spine still attached and a grimace still on his face. He once said he didn't care if he became bear [bleep]. Wonder if he remembered saying that when the bear was stripping meat off his back.

She only made that mistake once...

UncleAlps: Its been over a year since this incident happened so if I may interject some humor now?
I was at the local "Farmers market" yesterday and a fellow was making and selling homemade signs.
One sign went like this "Grizzly Bears call tourists in sleeping bags SOFT TACOS"!
Anyway I thought it was audacious and a bit funny.

Stickfight: The especially poorly written and headed article leads all to believe this incident just happened - it did NOT!
It occurred over a year ago and is old news - nowhere in the first 2/3rds of the article NOR in the articles heading is it clear this incident happened long ago.
Next to nothing about the article being about committee findings or when the original incident occurred.
Again the link to the OP article and the article are very misleading and poorly written.
I think it was intended to be lazy click bait/sensationalism?

Did they track down and kill the bear that ate Treadwell?

Park rangers killed the bear that was guarding his campsite, and it had parts of him and his girlfriend in its stomach. That makes it likely the one who killed them but no one really knows for sure.

I hope it was one he named.
