I recently traded for a new 4.25” Colt Python. Was thinking of having a trigger job done on it. Who do you recommend?

I'm just old school enough to think that a new $1500 Python shouldn't need a trigger job. That a nice crisp trigger job was one of the reasons the gun cost $1500 to begin with.

Trigger job, action job, recrown barrel. Happy with his work. Considering sending him my Anaconda, too.

Mike Heffron's experience:
between 2020 Pythons, 2021 Anacondas, 2017 Cobras, and 2019 King Cobras, it’s around 1400 total, with around 200 Anacondas and the 300 balance being King Cobras and Cobras (besides the approximately 900 Pythons).

If you have a Colt DA revolver you're going to need a gunsmith.

I am glad this topic came up. About 13 years ago I asked the same question for my original Anaconda and was told only to contact Colt. I sold it and got it back so have thought of it again. The trigger is better than Ruger's, but not as good as my older S&W.

New ones well may. I don’t think they can or will be able to reduplicate those older ones. Compare them side by side. I report, you decide. DF

I have an original Python also that has never been worked on, the new ones need worked on. Only thing the same is the two names. Colt & Python, the gun itself is very different internally

I got banned on another web site for a debate that happened on this site. That's a first
