I owned a Python. In about 1985-ish. It didn't need a trigger job. Not the same as the 35+ year old models, we are talking the new $1500 Python. I have an original Python also that has never been worked on, the new ones need worked on. Only thing the same is the two names. Colt & Python, the gun itself is very different internally The new one is different.. and better. And if you want to argue, feel free to argue with the guy that's worked on 900 of them. If he had to work on 900, how are they better than the old ones? Never heard much about those needing work. DF Who said he "had" to work on 900? Like I said to the other guy. Ask him. https://www.heffronprecision.com/

DF I guess what some here are not understanding....MOGC stated that his 1985 Colt Python did not need a trigger job and related it to a 2022 Colt Python. Ford made a Bronco in 1985 and they also make a Bronco in 2022.....they are not the same in 1985 or 2022, either the Python or the Bronco. You would think that someone with even a Neanderthal mentality would be able to understand that. The 2022 Colt Python is a fine revolver but the trigger SUCKS and needs some work.........don't know why that is so hard for some to understand

A $500 revolver, sure I get it.

I see near mint 80’s vintage Pythons listed for $3,500 or so.
I wouldn’t say value is thru the floor.

I'm just old school enough to think that a new $1500 Python shouldn't need a trigger job. That a nice crisp trigger job was one of the reasons the gun cost $1500 to begin with. This.
