My kids, and I, enjoyed the gold panning at Dredge number 8 (warm water), it might even be there still; I think it was in Fox, North of Fairbanks a bit but close enough to do. If operating, the Discovery Tour on a paddle wheeler. Plan on $pending $ome time in North Pole at $anta Clau$ House. Best may be the museum at UAF, Quick thoughts off the top of my head.

Nothing real exciting to see if Fairbanks, IMO. UAF Museum of the North, I guess, or Santa’s House in North Pole. Denali is 100 miles south.

Other than that you could go yell at all the bums in front of Fred Meyers or Walmart.

I’d bring my ultralight spinning rod or 3wt fly rod and GTFO of there as fast as possible. Head up the hot springs road and go fish for grayling. Of course I’m a bit of a fishing but so that’s always my go-to response.

I have yet to visit it myself, but have heard the vintage car museum has an interesting collection.

Actually, there is something very interesting in Fairbanks. Go see 'Fountainhead Antique Auto Museum', it is incredible. I've been in Alaska for 40 years and didn't have a clue it was there until last year during a conference. Most incredible time I've had up here. The food is great also but the museum is incredible.

Enjoy your stay.

Sorry, you posted while I was writing my response. But yes, I've been there and it is amazing!

It's on my list to visit next chance I get. How long of a visit do you recommend to get the most out of the experience?

Get really hammered...
Pic up a obese cabbage patch looking NA chick.
Go back to her place and listen to her take a massive dump thru the thin door.
Then she comes out in her little nightie act all coy and looking like a drunk walrus that found a sexy outfit at goodwill ready to get it ON!!!

You fuuuk the hell outta free willie in your drunken stupor and haul azz early in the morning before she wakes up.
