New production? 32 years old!

Not my statement, but likely...yes. New production by the new owners after a complete & total shutdown of the bankrupt Co. Now called Rem-Arms I believe.

Bigger where?

He said that it would almost close on a 7.62 NATO No Go Gauge.

LGS had one in stock (SPS) in 6.5 CM. As others have said it seemed like a decent rifle. The owner of the shop is a long range shooter and said that the 700s he has played around with have been very accurate and he personally hasn't had any issues with them He is admittedly a 700 guy but modifies them pretty heavily. They were asking $599. It was sitting next to a NIB Tikka T3x for the same price. The action on the Tikka was smoother if that means anything.
