I put on a 12x lyman on my old 37 and boresighted it.i was aiming at the #5 you see and shot these 5 with Eley black box Match.i thought the group was about inch (but close to POI ) so I put the gun back in the case for next week to find tune.when I grabbed the target I was floored. I was seeing light from other holes through the target backer! I'll take it!!
Yup, those 37s are definitely shooters. I foolishly passed up a deal on a 37 at a gunshow a few years ago and still kick myself. It was in pristine condition with a scope just about identical to the one in the picture for $700... by time I realized my mistake and went back to buy it somebody else realized what it was and bought it...
Never underestimate your ability to overestimate your ability.
A friend of mine has a 5 shot group with his 222 at a 100 yd with 4 shots perfectly round and one completely sideways in the group is still a 1/2 inch. That is funny stuff
Cbashooter: WOW! That isn't luck - that is an amazing grouping there at 100 yards with a 22 rimfire! Keep up the good work. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy
For those of you who don't know this fella, he's one of the shootin-est guys I know. Nicely done, George!!
I believe it. Great shooting. Those 37's were shooting sob's. My old gunsmith friend who loves Winchesters told me that the 37's often shot better than the 52's.
