GENO67 - " ... They know what the result of these reductions is - starvation. There's a not a better way to ensure war or at least pockets of fierce resistance than to remove food from the poorer people. It is absolutely intentional and part of the plan. We are not isolated and we can't act as though we are - this fight is global and the policies and results on a global scale will affect us."
Precisely. Wars over food and food supplies are as ancient and perpetual as long as Man has walked the face of the earth. In ancient Greece, long before Jesus was born, wars for food and trade routes including food transport were constant. If one examines the roots of most wars, they involve policies over food supplies and trade.
Same could well happen today because of the information posted by GENO67. Hungry people are desperate people. Always have been; always will be.
EDIT: Just for cheets and grins, check out what the Winners of those Wars did to the Losers. Kinda harsh.
FWIW.
