I remember the gong show.
Kent Loved the gong show. 🦫 Ole Chuck Barris, host of the Gong Show lost his fuggin marbles and claimed he was a CIA Agent or some kind of “Secret Agent” Assassin. 🤪😂 They made a movie about it. 🤪 Seriously? That's hilarious! Yep. He wrote an autobiography about it. Evidently he was quite the whack job. 🤪 Dude was smashed every episode; spittle down the side of his mouth. Hilarious. The only other host that was more drunk per episode was Richard Dawson. hahaa,, When I pictured chuck barris in my head, it was - oh yeah that guy who was nearly drooling all the time. Yes I remember the tv stories of him claiming to be some kind of top notch gov't trained international killer.

I worked with a woman whose brother was a NOC for the CIA. He would call her out of the blue a few times a year. When she would answer her phone, it was a CIA operator who would ask my coworker a question that would require her to give a coded number back, then the call would be connected to her brother.
Weird shît.
🦫 Not that weird…there are all sorts of governmental jobs in secret/sensitive work areas that require a non-specific reply in order for communication to be allowed… An example would be the “word of the day”… lets make believe it’s 9…. When the operator would say 7 you would say…plus 2… if they said 20 you would say minus 11… sometimes changed daily, weekly or monthly…

Gong Show was the schitt. Chuck Barris taught me alot of life lessons. That it was perfectly all right to exploit, humiliate, and put morons in their place at the bottom of the food chain where they belong.
We could use some Gong Show culling in this day and age.
All those freakazoids on it back then. Are now almost 50% of the population... Aka: The Liberal Socialist Democrat voting base in waaaay to many ways. Think about that.....

A code word can mean simple things or in depth complex things Of course the receiver on the other end of the comms in the rear has his cheat sheet to say or understand... When Americans used to patrol the DMZ in Korea we had to rote memorize 30 brevity codes for various day recon and night ambush procedures, stages, and for movement down to the lowest rifleman on a 4 day mission cycle. Get grilled by the chain of command up to the BC before the day recon on TTP,s and PCC, s never knew who it was gonna be. And of course they all had a cheat sheet for the brevity code and route grilling. Intimidating in a way at 1st. But we looked at as a game with whoever should up once our noggins got used to the rote memorization. Kinda a you cant touch this type of thing and play stump the dummy with us anymore for your kicks... Same thing with az,s and distances for the routes 81mm at warrior base and the 155,s at 4 papa 3 across the Imjim was relatively easy. Merely say can Trp4 and lay on Trp 3 when halfway. Ect ect ect for the 8 TRPS on the Dmz. Once ya had terrian familiarization in ref to the TRP,s too easy... The TRP,s stayed constant and were shift from a known point missions anyways.. 48 day recons 48 night ambushes 4 months non stop 4 day mission cycle. Scout platoon Sqd ldr All 3 scout sqds had the boots on the ground mission in the 8k area of the American sector. Then ya had the 8th Army JSA Pretty boy guards up in Panmujon. Basically get all the "limelight" and be static displays. Those JSA guys hated life and realized their jobs sucked . Talked to many of em. They regretted volunteering for it for the most part. They all had to be at least 6ft tall and not wear glasses. 8th army/JSA would have a briefing for 11B,s newly in country arrived in Yongson. Had to sit in on as a young newly promoted E6. Fugg that . AMF at the end of the brief... Homie just spent 13 months as a 11C at Hood dropping 4 deuce mortars rds to stay away from 11M conversion and was looking forward to my 1st true Light Infantry unit, had a direct assignment to 1/503rd on Camp Hovey for my 1st of 3 tours over the years in korea. People would volunteer for JSA and go thru their tryout and probationary process for it. To get certified to stand still in Class B,s at the JSA and stare at Nork gaurds for their year tour in Korea. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ Anyways... 1 line company would be QRF for a month Another would be OP Collier for a month Another would be OP Ouelette for a month. Just reminiscing ......

1st 2 generations of Singcars frequency hopping radios were compromised in Korea in 1989 - 90. Us up on the Dmz with the NORKS jamming us with directed micro wave burst. Radio sound like a bag of microwave popcorn going off. Had to use terrian mask to transmit to advoid it. Gen 2 over came the microwave issue.
A RTO from 2/503rd fell off a dam spill way crossing in East bumfugg somewhere training. Downed in the pool below. They found his body after 2 or 3 days in just BDU,s Divers never found the gen 2 singcars in the pool or anywhere in the river . Never found his wpn. Never found his LBE. Never found his ruck with CEOI in it. Whole 2nd ID had to change CEOI books down to the lowest level.
Lotsa Nork infil types living in South Korea long term and thru their networks schit makes it's way north.

Gong Show... that was some great stuff.
I would actually pay real money to watch a 2022 real world no rules Gong Show...
If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

While the rocket bde was on the camp Casey side. Then Camp Humphreys exploded they just finished all the MP and rotational bde barracks and HQ’s. The only problem those heavy bde could not do gunnery at all on Humphreys. So they had to railhead the tanks, Bradley’s etc to rod range. In the end well before I left the heavy bde cdr just opted to keep his boys at camp hovey. It was just a giant goat ph uck if you ask me..

I happened to be watching the show when they had Robin Cannes on , and she didn't do anything but walk out in a see through nighty. Actually showed it on regular television before they could cover it up or shut it off or whatever they did back then. Tom Snyder was at a strip club and showed a gal with some really nice cheeks when going to a commercial break

My last tour was 04 05. G3 armed courier for Non Niper net documents from 2ID to 8th Army. Long azz boring year.... ROK Army had female Blackhawk pilots.
1st tour in 89 90 Rarely if ever see a Korean woman driving. Families sold their daughters into whoredom. 4 months on the Z, tour went fast.
2nd tour 95 96 they had female gate guards up on Cp Greaves. WSL then PSG No Z mission for Americans anymore. Long azz year stuck on Greaves with it restrictions for Travel across the Imjim..
Societal change from selling their daughters into whoredom to Blackhawk pilots.
Alot of it was the transistion from Military Generals being Presidents of South Korea to civilian presidents in the late 80,s early 90,s. That 1st tour was Katusa need a pass to go to Seoul for protest schit all the time. Especially the line dog Katusa,s. We got wind of one of scout plt Katusa,s doing that schit on the sly Sent him to the ROK CSM saying we don't want him with us helping to protect his own country. Huge shame when a ROK CSM heard that about a Katusa. Happened only once that 1st tour. Each sqd had 1 katusa. SSG Kimes boy Sgt Lee. Got a replacement from a line company a PFC named Park. Wanted to be in the scouts. He filled in the other 2 Katusa,s Lee got sent to A co and the other Katusa,s hated him not because of getting canned from Scouts but because of the spotlight he brought on all the line dog Katusa,s from the ROK CSM giving em all a collective azz chewing about being little babies from families with influence that got them out of being in the ROK army just cause they could speak basic english.
ROK,s hate Katusa,s for the most part. We never really had issues with the ROK,s with our scout platoon Katusa,s We trained alot with the ROK Tiger Brigade up in Sonjuri. They knew who and what we were .
Line dog Katusa,a were another matter. Real clique types wanting to get over as much as they can Always playing the game of dumb Katusa to their advantage when they have a well above average or excellent grasp of English.
