They don’t play Ann Murray’s music in dancehalls either. Boring music!

Used to come home from school to an empty house put that album on the record player and spent 30 45 minutes just laying on the floor listening to one side or the other in peace.

Frampton has some degenerative nerve disease that will stop his ability to play the guitar soon. Heard him say it during an interview. I was 16 when Frampton comes alive was released. Spent many an hour cruising in my 67 Ford Galaxie 500 listening to it on the 8 track.

We are thoroughly enjoying a 2013 concert of his on TV here. Really nice to hear those old songs done so well again. Here comes the grumps... so he's not dead? Usually a thread title that just has the name means the celebrity just died.

Never heard of him. But I was a little kid in the 70's I was a little kid in the seventies too Peter Frampton was on the radio about every hour. Then in the 80s-90s he was in rotation on our two major rock stations in Nashville. As the early 2000s came our KDF went to country format. Frampton was already on daily rotation on the “Classic Rock” station across town. Gawd it was everywhere. Oh well, we had good music in the trailer park I still see a few KDF license plates cruising around here. Did you ever have a KDF Rock Card? That was funny when they said it fast.

Pretty sure I saw the Pie and Frampton together in 1972 ? in Birmingham. Humble Pie slammed it. Was right up front at an outdoor show. Frampton “came alive” too.

I remember listening to KDF - Carl P and the P team with Bubba Skynrd in the late 80's, and then you had Coyote McCloud over on 107 Frampton lives (lived - not sure anymore) in Cincinnati so he is usually on the local radar for some event. Didn't know he had health issues though.

Maybe Ann Murray will be on next! Were you even alive in 1976? Neither was I alive when Ten Years After were going good.

Frampton always made me wish I had a Les Paul.. but I've never owned one, always Fender. I bought my first electric in 1979?? It just happened to be a 1964 Strat. I bought it because it was one of the cheapest guitars in the shop at the time. Crazy to think about now. Still have it, needless to say that it was a great investment both as an instrument and as a 401k.
Frampton is great, if you get a chance to see him you probably should. These guys ain't getting any younger.
