I have an '08 Dodge that's partially deleted - DPF only. I bought it used from a dealer and they didn't tell me. They likely didn't know it themselves. It took a while before I figured it out. There's a flashing chip under the dash that clued me in. I got a name and number off of it and found it on the web. It resets the computer every time I start it. That said - in 10 years I've never had to worry about a burn off but it does blow smoke. It runs pretty dirty and leaves a lot of soot on one side of the bumper. There are only a couple counties in ID that do emissions testing and I'm not in one of them.

I doubt (well, there's no doubt) that you have either a functioning DPF or SCR. You'd be plugged up. Whomever did the delete simply cored the filters like we used to do with cat converters. I'll bet it has a plate on the EGR circuit, as well. It's fully deleted, mechanically, but left cosmetically "palatable".

I understood deleting a Deisel was illegal now. It's been illegal ever since they forced car companies to add all that crap. Whether you can get away with it depends on whether your local government does emissions testing. Here, nobody tests anything.

Deleting is all fun and games until you get rung up for it with a huge fine. Or have trouble trading or selling it. Or getting warranty (assuming it’s in warranty) service.

Live in rural eastern Oregon here. It's not California so we don't do inspections. Had my 350 bullet proofed. Mileage is the same, but it goes up hills 1 gear higher. I think such would be a resale plus. What motor in your 350?
