looks like I don't have any of those 'light weight' shotguns. My lightest is a Browning Citori in 20ga weighing in at 5#, 14 ounces. The other fairly light one is an Ithaca 20 ga SxS that weighs 6# 3 ounces.

Franchi AL48 in 28 gauge is 5.4 pounds. Joy to carry and in the 28 there is very little recoil, even in such a light package. https://www.midwestgunworks.com/page/mgwi/prod/40215

The lion and tiger might be stronger, but the wolf does not perform in the circus.

Franchi Falconet 12 ga. O/U 30" barrels 6Lbs. 4 oz. A delight to carry up hill and down dale.

I thought growing old would take longer.

Model 59 Winchester IMO it’s one of the best semi auto bird guns ever made.

I have a Browning Citori Upland with the straight grip. Its 5+ lbs, limited to 2-3/4" and fixed IC/M with an oil finish. Got it unshot for $750 as it was being traded in. I see one on Gunbroker now where the seller is asking $3400, so they must be hard to find now. It has been a super gun on grouse and pheasants, and I shoot upper 40's consistently on sporting clays, better than my similarly choked 101. I was told the gun did not fit me.
