My arctic fox has about 800 miles in low range. We've had to back out of brushed in logging roads for miles... I like to go fun places but the kids and mrs are a bit more finicky.
I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.

That's the road to Tiffany lakes on the edge of the Passayten wilderness.

Be tough getting in and out of that thing after you’ve had a few too many. Tough to drive after a few too many also.

I bet it gets great mileage. Better than you would think. There is one that has been around up here this summer and I asked the guy what he got for mileage. He said around 15 miles per gallon with a 100 gallon tank. They had it shipped from Germany and drove it up - starting in Mexico. Hell of an adventure! His was also a Mann.

See a couple EarthRoamers around here every summer. I think they're pretty cool, but I've never been in one.

Google bugout, cross country, or trekker vehicles if ya want to see some wild ones. Some really neat ones, some just a bit overdone to down right silly. But neat pics.
