I don't remember the year that I bought my first 9422M, but I think that it was around 1975. It was not an XTR, and it didn't have checkering. That one went by the wayside some time ago, but it has been replaced by its twin. I've been trying to find out when this one was made, and everything I've found is dead wrong. The lists show those made around my SN are XTRs, mine is not an XTR, So what gives~?

I have had one of the early 9422's that came out back in the late70's I think it was. It hangs in rack next to the door. Squirrels, birds, raccoons, feral cats, and an occasional dog that gets into the corrals that are harassing the mules get zapped.
If God wanted you to walk and carry things on your back, He would not have invented stirrups and pack saddles

the 94/22 is my all time favorite 22 rimfire. the semi autos seem like they are fussy with cleaning and malfunctions. the 94/22 just shoots, they are expensive now days. If I only had 1 22, it would be a 94/22
