Hey, I bought an electric bike. It's a blast! With pedal assist, it gives me gentle exercise climbing the hills in my neighborhood. I can run short errands for a dime's worth of electricity, instead of a few dollar's worth of gas, and have fun doing it.

Primary transportation? Bad weather transportation? Heck no.

IMHO, we are about a generation or two of batteries away from electric vehicles being truly efficient and effective, especially in cold winters. We need more battery capacity, cheaper batteries, less temperature sensitivity, and MUCH faster charging times. When they get those problems solved, we may like what we see. Today, not so much.

72 ss chevelle is one of coolest cars every made had one that I cloned into an SS. Built a 34 ford pu . Working on a 38 chevy coupe. Electric car not for me. My projects are carberated I can work on those. ELK I heard that the 402 was a 396 bored 30 over due to some flaws in the block. IDK maybe it was just a horse power selling point.

I’d rather an electric car than an ebike.

They don't do so well in extreme heat in Arizona either. I get about 2 to 2.5 years out of batteries in my vehicles in Phoenix.

If the manufacturer's would standardize batteries, where you pull into a station.. Slide one battery out and another in, do it in the time it takes to fuel the average auto. Then I might consider an ev, until then no go electric.

There are many unfounded rumors about the Tesla. As an objective witness, I can tell you it does not take 3 hours to charge it up. It doesn't take 2 hours.

You can charge it up in 40 minutes at a Tesla Supercharger.

Not too bad and not too good, considering you can fill 'er up with high test in 5 minutes.

Those old muscle cars are about nostalgia and appearance, not going fast.

Not to mention, unless it's out running around on autopilot all night, you can do it at home while you sleep.

There you go. You can get a full charge at home in 10 hours. Cheaper than high test too.

Not me. No way. I'm poor folk.

My wife's son, however, bought an Audi E-Tron GT for his wife two weeks ago.

I can't understand why, but it's their money and they have plenty of it.
