I would put it on Gun Broker for top dollar. Likely to get $800 plus in that condition. Yes there are fees and may be tax depending on where it ships to. You don't pay the tax the buyer does.
I too got a chuckle from the "bought one three years ago". I bought a new rifle three years ago for $550. Put it on Gunbroker last week starting at .01. It's at $1600 right now with some time left. So in a lot of cases bought three years ago doesn't mean much when figuring value.
