Well dug around in more of my stuff and found a set of Remington brand integral rings and bases in medium made out of z2 alloy, they are in silver, but not a big deal for me.

Not sure how good these were, not finished that well but would work.
Gotta stop hiding my stuff.😜

Two-piece for better access to ejection port.

If the rifle has sights, get detachable rings. Weavers are the best value. Talley are nice but more $. Warne makes some too.

But the weavers are light, string, and hard to beat.

My favorites are steel Talley split rings, detachable but with the screws vice levers. These return to zero very well, making a second pre-zero’ed scope an easy backup for a remote hunt.

I use Talley vertical split mounts or Warne Maximas.

Well stuck a one piece weaver base on and weaver high rings the ones with double straps on each ring and they use torx screws, then I put a Bushnell dawn/dusk 4-12 scope on.

Thought I could always have someone local try it out for me, like Dwayne, but he being of slight stature might get knocked out from under his ten gallon hat.😳

I've never had a problem with Leupold mounts but I still really like Conetrols.

I've also used 3-4 of the Warne's with no issues.

I have used Leupold dual dovetail many times in big kickers…a 7.5 pound 338WM and an 8 pound 375 H&H. No issues.

Lately have been using Warne mounts and rings. No issues with those either.
