You are welcome. I hope we were helpful. As bsa said, there are quite a few threads on these winlites and I wasn’t trying to get too far into the weeds. As an aside, there are a couple of nice winlites currently listed on gunbroker. The 30/06 wears the standard featherweight McMillan pattern with the schnabel forend (later offered by McMillan as the “Winchester featherweight”), while the 7 mag has the standard McMillan winlite magnum pattern (later offered by McMillan as the “Winchester classic”). 30/06 featherweight winlite https://www.gunbroker.com/item/9518159857 mm mag winlite https://www.gunbroker.com/item/952077830The pad on the 7 mag is original, the 06 has likely been replaced.

I have a Winchester Model 70 7mm Mauser Lightweight rifle with the iron sights. It was made for the European market, and came from the factory with a wood stock. I believe that was a early 1990's manufacture. I put it in a Winchester factory synthetic stock that was made for a Featherweight rifle, and it was perfect fit.

Nice examples there. Now, if the 7mm rem mag was in a winlite with a schabel forend, we could assume the stock was not original to the rifle and not a true "winlite".
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

That looks like a Tupperware stock I put on a Ranger. It is very clearly not a McMillan.
I bought two very Clean M70 Ranger rifles mostly for the flip up type sights shown in these pics. One is an '06, the other a .243.
I wanted synthetic stocks so I ordered one for the '06 (advertised as for a Featherweight) off the internet. It came in looking much like the one shown, that is to say no Schnabel. . Clearly it is Tupperware and a great fit for the Ranger barreled action. Oddly it had nickeled swivel bases on it.
I looked for a short action synthetic with a FW barrel channel with no luck. I bought one for a sporter barrel cannel and need to fill it.

I have two W70 push feed fwts with boxes bought new that I think may be parts clean up rifles? One is a 20"rig with barrel marked carbine, and the rifle has factory iron sights. The caliber is 270 and the stock is a schnable McMillan. Box says black synthetic stock--no mention of sights. Product # 23131, serial in the 1,792,xxx range. Circa 1986?
Second rifle is 22" 7mm mauser, serial range 2,054,xxx with walnut fwt stock, and iron sights mentioned on the box label---circa 1992? Barrel is marked featherweight in cursive. Product # 22187 on box.
Both rifles have late factory iron sights with the rear leaf on a raised block. Sorry I do not know how to post pictures. Interesting gems I have enjoyed for 20 yrs plus!

That first rifle sounds really interesting; love to see pics if you ever figure out how. Can’t imagine there are many floating around in that configuration.

That looks like a Tupperware stock I put on a Ranger. It is very clearly not a McMillan. Which stock are you referring to? If the OPs stock, you're correct. However, the two stocks AK posted are both McMillan stocks (the 06 and the 7mag). There were three different stocks used on Winlites from 2 stock makers. As posted above 2 flavors of McMillan were most common. When stocks became hard to source from McMillan, Winchester had Brown Precision make some stocks for the Winlites. Regardless, neither stock AK posted above is plastic.
