Always going to be winners and loosers. One is delayed, maybe even incarcerated. The other, with Roy.

Is that Florida? I’ve seen almost the exact same thing there.

May as well be. All of the white cars look the same. I added the location.

That’s nothing ! I drive a truck and one night I came upon a wreck like that but it was a minivan. Minivan hit the trailer square in the back. Minivan’s rear tires were against the rear tandem of the trailer. Everything forward was under the tandems. Truck had slowed to 23mph in the fog trying to read exit signs. Minivan computer last read 107mph. Whole family of five dead in the minivan. Highway patrolman I know had done the investigation. They believe the driver had fallen asleep. I was around 3am when it occurred. If you drive for a living you see some bad wrecks.

Hard to say exactly what happened... At 70mph chit happens pretty severely.

He is under the trailer, not the tires.
It's a 53' trailer. Between weight distribution and state axle length laws
the tandem of those often have to be slid 8-10' forward.

That big wrap bumper on the trailer was required by ICC before they
would allow 53s on the National Highways. Ot is supposed to
prevent run-unders. Obviously, it doesn't work. Nothing practical
is going to stop 4000# hitting at 60mph.

Would love to hear the story on that one.

About 15 years ago a guy in a Cobra R rear ended a Honda on the Turnpike.
She claimed to be driving between 70 and 75 when he hit her.
It smashed the rear bumper into the back tires and pushed everything up to
the back seat. He musta been speeding!😉

That's pretty harsh. Reality.

Lost a church friend same way. He had a problem with narcolepsy. Driving to work early one morning, ran his S10 under the back of a fully loaded trailer. Not sure of the speed differential. However the back glass was the only part of his cab not under the trailer.

Odd that there's not more given how needlessly wreckless people are.

drivers needlessly die every day no matter where

Most are related to speeding......distracted..........or DUI

All these can be corrected

Just opening KSL news.....every day some one or other are kilt.......needlessly in most cases

Yikes! What a photo! Honda vs DOT bumper. Call the medics, call the coroner.
