I was in San Antonio for spring break with the wife and kids and ran across my neighbor on the River Walk.

Walked into 7-11 at5:00 AM in Swift Current SK going goose hunting. Three guys from home in SC I’d known for years. Ran into them again on the dock at Sail Fish marina in PalmBeach a couple of years later.

1967, Tigerland, Ft. Polk, LA, assisting training cadre with new incoming trainees while awaiting orders. Two former elementary school classmates from Chicago I hadn't seen in years in new training cycle, was kind sweet on one's sister back in the day. Ran into another one at PX from old neighborhood in Chicago who was permanent party at FT. Polk but not Tigerland.
O'Hare airport, on leave, waiting for flight home, got to talking with a U.S. Marine also waiting for same flight. As we talked discovered both he and I were headed to same town, the more we talked found out not only knew several of the same people but were blood related to the same people. Come to find out the Marine and I were blood cousins who had never met before.

Not me, but Dad and a couple of his sisters were walking down a sidewalk in San Francisco, during WWII. Someone called out to Dad from across the street. It was a man that lived about 1/2 mile from them, in La.

I was a corporate account manager for years and traveled extensively all over the world. I can’t tell you the number of times I ran into acquaintances all over the world. Several being friends in the military (I flew in and out of Germany a good bit) to walking into a customers conference room to see an old high school friend sitting across the table. I ran into other coworkers all the time in airports. Occasionally we would meet in the same city for different customers to have dinner and beers.
