Also gave a lot of free classes to my LEO friends, who were sick and tired of getting delayed on the NICS check to purchase a gun. Something that was required by some piss ant government employees like you to obtain a gun for self defense, or even a Duty Weapon.

My Dr took my class about 20 years ago. As did all the other Dr’s in his practice. When I still worked in the Wholesale Firearm's Industry, he’d sometimes call me and have me bring him a couple of cases of ammo, when I was coming in for a checkup.

Although I agree with Jackson Handy that a person shouldn’t have to have a permit to exercise a right, I’m also glad I took a concealed carry course. The instructor was very informative and I learned quite a bit on what to say and do if you do ever have to pull the trigger. How to recognize threats and human behavior. I liked it enough that I recommend it to several friends to take even if they were not interested in getting their CCW permit.
The class had only had about 10-15% content on firearm handling and then we were given several options for drills to do at home.

I can remember in TN when nobody could carry a loaded firearm legally, because the General Assembly violates their oath. We became a State in 1796, the GA passed its first gun control bill in 1801 and it is still on our books. Permit in 1994 changed that, been working to get it right ever since.
