Fotis & TPAK: I looked this Rifle up in my latest edition of the Blue Book Of Gun Values and it says this model weighs an even 9 pounds - IDK. It also relays that the value of the Rifle should be diminished by $290.00 (two hundred and ninety dollars!) if it has a stainless barrel. Anyway I assume that the barrel on this Rifle is NOT stainless steel that was somehow blue finished? And how does it shoot TPAK? TIA BTT Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

I seen that in the blue book, I believe this is one of those time the blue book got it wrong or made typo. I think they meant to say add $290 for stainless barrel. This is blued barrel. I only shot this to make sure it ejected good. It had Simmons 3-9 scope and shot 4 shot right at .5 to <.75 Didn’t measure group but looks like a good shooter. It ejects with authority. I have same rifle with two stage trigger and it’s my go to gopher getter. I’ll get weight on postal scale tonight.

8lbs 8 oz on digital scale. It balances very nice. Barrel is slightly bigger at end (about last 3 to 4" of barrel length) and barrel is grooved at the end for peep sight.

TPAK: Thank you for the comeback and the information. I was also miffed/puzzled at the Blue Book's notation of the DIMINISHED price for a stainless barrel model??? Humans - they make errors. I have an Anschutz Model 1502 heavy barrel in caliber 17 Mach2 that is so accurate and such a delight to shoot and Hunt with that I became interested in your 17 HMR. Good luck with your sale. TPAk: Silly me - I just noticed you are a fellow Montananite! Which quadrant of the state are you in - if you don't mind my asking, as a FTF may be in the future. TIA, BTT and again GLWYS. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy
