For the few times an aerosol is warranted, McLube 1700L Epoxy Release Agent has done a nice job.
A wax like Pro Bed provides, Johnson or Old English paste wax are all proven products. Apply with a small soldering flux brush, buff and repeat. Play Doh for any holes or cuts and plastic foam packing material for filler in area like the trigger cut, mag well, etc.
Good shootin' -Al

Bugger; Good afternoon to you sir, I hope the day is a fine one out in your section of the prairies. With the understanding that I'm just a guy who likes to fool with firearms of all sorts and have no formal training in it, I've been using something like this for decades now. https://fibertek.ca/products/pva-poly-vinyl-alcohol-releaseWe've got some boat and hot tub manufacturers in the valley so the industrial supply places have this reasonably cheap by the liter. Hopefully that was useful to you or someone out there. All the best and good luck on your hunts. Dwayne

That looks like a good product, especially if you are recommending it. I live in lake country, maybe one of the boat repair shops might have such a product. Otherwise, i may order some. online.

The blue goop release that Brownell's supplies in their AcraGlas kits is also an alcohol-based poly vinyl. While it releases well, it's film thickness doesn't allow for the best fit possible between receiver and bedding material. Wax always works. Good shootin' -Al

Good shootin' -Al That's what I started out using when I bought their glass bedding kits - I'm thinking "Acra-glass"? I still have some Acra Glass gel. I'm not sure what they called their kits back in the 60's.

I've been using the same tub of Johnson's paste wax for about 18 years now.
Now with even more aplomb
