Can you guys share some ways you put scope dope on your rifle

I just rescoped my Belgara 450 and I have a few notes I feel are important I would always like to have close to look at

What do you do when you record your info on your rifle?

Synthetic stock so durable but I don’t want to permently alter it

Today this Meopta is just awesome but I do change at times

Hank

Clear tape over a notecard, cut to whatever size I need, on the left side of the butt stock.

This, exactly. It's what I do on both my deer rifle and my competition service rifle.

I have been doing the same thing for years, it works fine.

If you ever remove it and there is tape residue just a bit of cooking oil on a cloth will remove it easily and does not do any damage to the stock (wood or synthetic).

Is there any particular tape that works best?

Sounds like just what I need

I use clear packing tape. Comes in approx. 2 inch wide rolls

I am continually astounded at how quickly people make up their minds on little evidence or none at all.

Likewise. My preferred is Duck Tape EZStart. I get it at Wal Mart and use it for all my shipping, storage, packing and dope card needs. It is very clear and very strong.

I tend to put 1K DOPE or to the platform's Transonic Slip,in scope ocular. Then there's more finite DOPE on the stock. Hint.

I tend to default to RITR paper, unless I'm laminating. Hint.

Been doing double-sided carpet tape, then trimmed index card-stock trimmed slightly undersized of that, and then clear packing tape over that, overlapping the works. Bonds very well.

It is fascinatingly HILARIOUS,that there are those who can't afford their own roll of tape,as they wax eloquent upon how Imitation is THE most Sincere form of Flattery. Hint.

Reminds me,I've a few more laminated charts to affix,as I open Mail and dress out new rifles. Hint.

I put yardage, drops, and 10mph windage in an excel spreadsheet, alternate background colors on rows, size font and column widths as needed and print it. Clear tape it on both sides to laminate, then tape it to the stock with gorilla tape on the outer edges. I prefer it on the right side of my stock with columns running from grip to butt direction (rows top to bottom of stock). I tilt the stock to read it...it's been a little easier for me to read than pulling my head away if it's on the left side...and it keeps my stubble out of the tape.
