“Light and variable”
Cost me a shot at a stud this morning. Damit.

Had variable winds like crazy last weekend. Killer. Movement is picking up though.

I thought it was “gut shot” I am with these two. Light and variable does not really bother me. If conditions are not right, I stay home.

It’s also the best week for buck movement. Staying home isn’t an option in my mind. It sure make choosing stand location difficult though.

I swear every bow hunting show I see now they "back out", no matter how good the shot. Really hate it when they do it 80-90 degree weather, "lets wait til morning". Shows you antlers are more important than meat.

I thought it was “gut shot” Thought the same. I've been very fortunate and very very lucky that I haven't personally experienced those words. -Ken

"Gut Shot" is really bad, but my nemesis lately has been "Spine Shot". I think 3 out the 4 last deer were high shoulder shots and the damn thing wouldn't die. One of them was with a muzzle loader. Been driving me crazy.
