There's a pretty healthy fanbase for Burris scopes here on the forum, and after having the FF II I see why...but that's been the extent of my experience.
What's the diff with the Fullfield E1, Fullfield IV, Droptine etc? Any strong or weak points, anything to avoid?
Are the E1 and FF IV better than the FF II, or not so much?

I'm happy with FFII and C4 scopes made in the Phillipines - have a few of them. Sample of 1, but my experience with the newer FF IV (HD 2-10 Signature - China) was a disaster. Based on Burris' response to the issues, I'll never buy another Burris product.
IMO, the FF IV is most definitely not an improvement from the FF II...
In that case, I believe it too, rcamuglia...but do you include the versions made in the Philippines as well? Admittedly don't push my gear very hard but the FF II line seems good so far.

They are Dog Schit, even if found free in a Cracker Jacks box. Hint...............

The Burris FF II Is a good entry level scope for the money. But like anything else you get what you pay for. I own a few, they work good for a set and forget scope. I have them on a muzzle loader and a couple of what I call 100yd woods guns that my daughter and grand kids shoot. I personally would not put one on a serious rig that I would be shooting at any real distance.
I wouldn't put one of those pieces of fhuqking schit on a garden hose,to aim water at my truck. Hint..................

In the past w/ Big Stick it’s been SWFA 6x42 for a hunting scope. If you can get a $200 Black Friday deal (not sure if they’re still doing those) they probably blow everything else in that price range out of the water. They’re ugly and big but not too heavy and they have the redeeming quality of actually working consistently. They inspire confidence.
The MOST important part of any/all Boolit Steering Devices,is that which you can not see and that's it's internals. Hint.
Burris from inception,has/does suck heavy ass, because the guts are schit. It is a Crying Karen War Cry to shout "set and forget",like that High Pitched Nasal Whine somehow MAGICALLY transforms innards. Rest assured,it sure as fhuqk do NOT. Schit that won't/don't/can't track or repeat, simply don't have "other stuff" hidden inside, which makes them hold zero. Read that again. Now one more time. Hint.
A "lowly" 6x MQ,blows ALOTTA $1000++ stuff away and it ain't even close. Why? It yields better than (2) Mil's of erector travel, for every ounce of mass. It's reticle wears over 1.5x it's mass,in elevation subtention in Mil's(double in MOA). They wear 10yd parallax. The erector and reticle are the same language. They track, repeat, hold zero and can take a lick, along with fending something called "weather". They are basically everything, that Burris ain't. Hint.
I enjoy how folks readily make excuses for scopes, because that schit is fhuqking FUNNY. Hint...............

Burris XTR models are high quality. I bought a couple XTR 1-8s for ARs based on Koshkin's recommendation and have been happy with them. I think the Burris FFII's are a great bargain for hunters that won't twist turrets, in other words the VAST majority of them. I have no experience with FFIV/Droptine.
