Does anyone have any comments on Rough Ryders steels?

I'm looking for a canoe style and see they have stainless, high carbon, carbon II, and damascus available in that pattern. I'm leaning towards high carbon but no half-stops are giving me pause for thought.

The RRR (reserve series), have D2 steel. They have a Kayak that is a hybrid sort of canoe. It looks good. I have several rrrs and they are way above the standard rrs in quality.
